He also chatted about his potential involvement in the Black Widow movie.
Sam Jackson as Nick Fury has been a part of the MCU since the very beginning.
Well, since the end of the very beginning, when he popped up in the post-credits scene of the first Iron Man movie, and told Tony Stark about his Avengers initiative.
Since then, he has died twice (kind of), been responsible for creating a world-destroying weapon (but then he helped destroy it, so its fine), and lost his eye to a cat (again, kind of).
Jackson had originally signed on for a nine-picture deal with Marvel for his role as Nick Fury, and as of Spider-Man: Far From Home, he has appeared, in one way or another, in no less than ELEVEN of the MCU outings.
JOE was lucky enough to sit down with the legend himself to discuss his role in the new Marvel blockbuster, as well as his future within the franchise.
When we asked about other heroes that he’d like to team up with (after his great buddy-cop vibes with Captain Marvel and Spider-Man), there was one person who came to mind for Jackson:
“I probably had some interesting adventures with Natasha [Romanoff, aka Black Widow], but I’m not sure what happens with her origin story, or if I show up or not. Not sure yet.”
We also talked about what might be next for Fury in the MCU, and there was one big announcement lately that got him excited:
“I think they’ve tapped into something that is going to be great, and just listening to what they’re planning, with the asian version of whatever the universe is going to take on, to the new cast thing. Even hearing Kevin [Feige] saying ‘We’re trying to get Keanu Reeves to join the universe’.
“What would that be like? John Wick, in the Marvel universe? Okay. Hey, I’m about it!”

JOE also chatted to three other stars of the movie – Tom Holland (Peter Parker), Zendaya (MJ), and Jacob Batalon (Ned) – about how excited they are for a Spider-Man/Venom crossover movie. Check that interview out in full here.
Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into Irish cinemas from Tuesday 2 July. Watch the final trailer right here:
