Season 2 of The Boys will be ‘better than the first’ and even bloodier

The Boys Season 2

The Boys will be back.

Everyone that watched The Boys had a very specific moment when they absolutely fell in love with Amazon Prime’s superhero show.

Was it when A-Train absolutely eviscerated and mutilated Hughie’s girlfriend as she stepped off the curb? How about the most famous ‘ass bomb’ since Denzel Washington in Man On Fire? Truth be told, it could also have been the scene when Billy Butcher shows us the ‘interesting’ and degenerate lifestyle that these supes are living.

As for our favourite scene, flying dolphin. You know what we’re talking about!

Whatever the moment is, there’s no denying that Eric Kripke, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen did a fantastic job in adapting Gareth Ennis’ graphic novel and after Season 1 ended on that cliffhanger, we’re itching to see what’s in store.

Well, during the recent press tour for their new film Good Boys, producers Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen spoke with Collider about Season 2 of The Boys and things are going to be even bigger.

“They already have more resources for the second season. They’re adding more characters, the scope of the show organically grows as the show continues. We just watched, actually, the first episode of the second season this week. It was a wonderful thing as producers. This is way better than I ever could’ve hoped it would be,” said Rogen.

Goldberg added that Season 2 is “definitely better than the first season,” and said that “immediately, it just looks a bit better, feels bigger, the actors all know what they’re doing.”

Given how dark, violent, and funny the first few episodes are, we can’t wait to see the boys back in town.
