Season 2 of The Terror is coming and it looks spooky as hell
This could be one of the best shows of 2019.
Heard the one about the brilliant TV show that absolutely nobody watched? That would be The Terror.
However, let it not be said that JOE didn't encourage viewers to give it a try because right from the first trailer, we've been massive fans of the marine-set horror saga and after Amazon picked the show up, it appears that The Terror found the audience it deserves.
Right now, Jared Harris is rightfully getting lauded for his performance in Chernobyl but in many ways, another recent TV show he's appeared in is quite similar.
Dramatic, gripping, and absolutely horrific at times, Season 1 of the anthology season revolved around two British ships attempting to make their way as far into the Northwest Passage in the North Pole as they possibly can.
Before long, both ships are frozen and stuck in place.
As the crew begin to worry that the elements will do them in, they slowly discover that there may be something out in the wilderness that has begun to hunt them and pick them off one by one.
In The Terror: Infamy, the setting shifts to World War II and the focus is now on a Japanese internment camp.
We've had this as one of the shows to watch in the second part of 2019 and after watching the first trailer, our excitement levels have only increased.
In the second season, a series of bizarre deaths begin to haunt a Japanese-American community. Ultimately, a young man’s journey to understand and combat the malevolent entity responsible will prove to be crucial.
The Terror Season 2 premieres on 12 August on AMC
At present, no Irish broadcaster has been announced. However, just like the first season, we expect a host broadcaster to be announced soon; the smart money is on Amazon.
Take a look at what's in store.
