One of 2025’s best thriller movies has been quietly added to streaming

The Irish film currently holds a 93% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Streaming via NOW and Sky, the movie is set in Canada and follows married couple, Josh (Ben Foster, Hell or High Water) and Rachel (Cobie Smulders, How I Met Your Mother), as they move into a new house with their young child.

While it at first seems like the perfect home to start their family, the parents discover to their horror that their property is situated on a sharp corner that is prone to severe car accidents.

Upon learning this, Rachel wishes to move to another house. However, Josh - already struggling with the pressures of daily life - becomes unhealthily fixated on these crashes, believing that it is his responsibility to save the victims.

Made with the help of Screen Ireland, JOE was lucky enough to catch an advance screening of Sharp Corner at this year's Dublin International Film Festival back in February.

And we haven't been able to stop thinking about it since, with writer-director Jason Buxton and star Foster painting a very believable if darkly comic portrait of a seemingly ordinary man becoming engulfed by a strange, sinister obsession.

Also, given the premise, anytime the viewer hears a car in the distance of a scene, you are immediately on edge that a crash may occur - a tension Buxton capitalises on for maximum effect throughout the Canadian-Irish thriller's 110-minute running time.
