Single people, particularly single men, encouraged to apply for new series of First Dates Ireland

Stephen Porzio

“Men are a little slower to apply, so if you know a single man, give him a nudge in our direction.”

Are you single? Would you be interested in being set up on a blind date? Would you be prepared to have said date broadcast to the nation on TV?

If so, you’re in luck as hit show First Dates Ireland is now taking applications.

The series’ matchmakers are currently hard at work chatting to potential daters for its upcoming eighth season and are looking to hear from more singletons.

To apply, the requirements are simple, with applicants needing to be 18 and over and, of course, single.

The series has also said it is open to all genders and sexualities.

“We welcome all ages and love those people who are a little more mature, deciding to take a shot at love,” said producer Robert Lanigan in a statement.

“Men are a little slower to apply, so if you know a single man, give him a nudge in our direction.”
