Big news for the footy fans out there.

On Tuesday morning, Sky announced it had agreed a deal with Premier Sports to become the exclusive distribution partner for Premier League football in Ireland from 2019 – 2022.

This means that for the first time ever, from next season, you’ll be able to see every single televised Premier League game as part of the one package, with Sky having also recently announced that Irish customers will be able to access BT Sport content from this summer onwards.

The BT partnership, of course, will also give Irish customers access to Champions League football and Heineken Champions Cup rugby as part of a single subscription.

As a result of the deals with BT and Premier Sports, football fans in Ireland will get to see a grand total of 233 games in total in the 2019/20 season, 33 of which will be Saturday 3pm kick-offs exclusive to Irish viewers.

On top of all of that, UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers, UEFA Nations League and the English Football League Championship will also all be made available.

Other sports that Sky will make available to customers through the new arrangement with Premier Sports include action from Serie A, Eredivisie, Scottish FA and League Cups, Schoolboys Rugby, NHL, NASCAR, IIHF Ice Hockey and Champions Hockey League.

JD Buckley, the Managing Director for Sky Ireland, said: “This is fantastic news for Sky customers in Ireland who can now watch all their favourite sports under one roof.

“For the first time ever, we’ll be showing every single Premier League game as well as Champions League, Heineken Champions Cup Rugby, all the golf majors and exclusive GAA fixtures. It’s going to be a very exciting summer of live sport.”
