Tickets for the Eras Tour movie are on sale right now.
When tickets went on sale for Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour in the States, they shocked everyone when they broke records set by cinema chains all across the country. One cinema confirmed that they had sold $26 million worth of tickets to the event screening in one day of presales.
In fact, the demand for tickets was so extreme, it caused the producers of upcoming horror movie The Exorcist: Believer to change the release date of their new movie, so as to avoid the clash completely.
There had been rumours as to whether The Eras Tour movie would be screened outside of the States at all, but today Taylor Swift took to Instagram to confirm that, yes, it would also be screened in over 100 countries around the world, including Ireland and the UK.
The official synopsis for the movie is as follows: "The cultural phenomenon continues on the big screen! Immerse yourself in this once-in-a-lifetime concert film experience with a breathtaking, cinematic view of the history-making tour. Taylor Swift Eras attire and friendship bracelets are strongly encouraged!"
At the time of writing, branches of the following cinemas are participating in the screening: Omniplex, Odeon, Vue, IMC, and Movies @, but you should still check your local cinema to see if they will also be screening the event film.
Tickets for Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour are on sale right now in most participating cinemas, with the movie itself debuting on Friday 13 October.
