“Ireland’s largest shop window” is on the Late Late Show this week

A transparent line of questioning, surely…

Don’t get too excited – it’s not an actual shop window. It’s a clever turn of phrase, you see! The Late Late Show returns to your television screen this Friday evening and it’s the hotly-anticipated thriller crowd-pleaser that is the TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS SPECIAL~!

Get hype. Following a national call-out in October for small-to-medium businesses – “the backbone of our national story”, apparently – the very best of Irish produce and Christmas gift ideas will be on display.

16 Irish entrepreneurs from all corners of the country will be on hand to showcase their wares. Are you not entertained?!

Sculpted by Aimee’s Aimee Connolly will talk about how her part-time job on the shop floor ultimately led to the creation of a multi-million euro business. Award-winning architect Hugh Wallace will introduce a range of cutting-edge Irish design products for the home.

Making a rare appearance under the lights of the Late Late, Professor Luke O’Neill will champion some innovative technological products. He’ll also discuss his enduring love of science (for a change, one presumes) and what exactly makes us human.

Anna Haugh is one of Ireland’s leading culinary talents. She’ll present some delectable Irish food products and elaborate on opening her new pop-up restaurant in Dublin and her role as a new judge on MasterChef: The Professionals.

Three Irish businesses will also be surprised with a €15,000 bursary on the night. Music, meanwhile, comes from 21-year-old TikTok pianist sensation Jamie Duffy.

Your taxpayer’s money at work, folks. The Late Late Show is on RTÉ One on Friday on Friday, 4 November at 9.35 pm.
