Florence Pugh is set to star in and produce the highly anticipated adaptation of Matt Haig's best-selling novel The Midnight Library.
Fans of the sci-fi book have been eagerly waiting for the film adaptation, which was originally optioned by Studiocanal and Blueprint Pictures in 2020.
The film will be directed by Garth Davis, who also worked with Pugh on the upcoming Netflix series, East of Eden.
Laura Wade (The Riot Club) and Nick Payne (We Live in Time) will pen the screenplay for The Midnight Library.
The movie adaptation will go into pre-production this autumn, with the team hoping to start shooting at the beginning of 2027.
As reported in several outlets, Davis said of the upcoming film: "I couldn’t be more excited to reunite with Florence Pugh on The Midnight Library.
"Her warmth and talent are magical, and together, I know we’ll do something special working with Matt’s iconic novel.
"This is a story that moves us both — a celebration of life in all its possibilities and complexity."
Over 15 million copies of The Midnight Library have been sold worldwide.
