Get to the chopper!
The Academy Awards will have you believe that the Oscar for Best Picture in 1987/88 went to The Last Emperor, but it’s a well known fact that the real winner was the cult-classic Predator.
In fact, that year saw John McTiernan’s action classic win 13 Oscars, 9 Golden Globes, 3 Grammys and a Nobel Prize for the greatest thing in the history of time.
Yeah, we love it.
Not only did Predator feature remarkable action scenes with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura and co, but it also had some incredibly quotable dialogue.
Where else will you get lines like “If it bleeds, we can kill it.”, “This stuff will make you a god damned sexual Tyrannosaurus” or the iconic “You’re one… ugly motherf**ker!”.
We’re absolutely pumped to the reboot because The Predator is being helmed by Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Iron Man 3).
And, just to be clear… PG-13 is for pussies. Spines bleed… a lot.

As many of you will know, Black was in the original film so we’re certain that he’ll treat the iconic sci-fi franchise with the utmost respect.
The signs are already good because we’ve been promised an R-rated film that will go heavy on the blood and guts. Yippee!
Black has just ventured into the dangerous world of Twitter – far more scary than the jungle – and he treated fans to a first glimpse of the film.

The cast of killers that will take on The Predator include:; Boyd Holbrook (Narcos, Logan), Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse), Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight), Keegan-Michael Key (Why Him?), Thomas Jane (The Punisher), Jacob Tremblay (Room) and Sterling K. Brown (The People vs. O.J. Simpson).
