Just in time for the darker evenings.

Netflix have confirmed the start dates for a number of shows, films and documentaries over the coming months.

We’ve got Narcos. We’ve got From Dusk Till Dawn. We’ve got Black Mirror.

And we’ve got Marvel’s Luke Cage.

Prepare to get very, very warmly acquainted with your couch…

Narcos (Season 2) – 2 September

This raw, gritty series chronicles the gripping real-life stories of the drug kingpins of the late 1980s and the corroborative efforts of law enforcement to meet them head on in brutal, bloody conflict.

It details the many, often-conflicting forces – legal, political, police, military and civilian – that clash in the effort to control cocaine, one of the world’s most valuable commodities.

Welcome back, Pablo.

From Dusk Till Dawn (Season 3) – 3 September

In season three of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, the Gecko brothers find themselves in the vortex of the culebra world forcing them to assemble an unlikely crew to take on the forces of Hell, and the new set of enemies determined to take them down.

Marvel’s Luke Cage – 30 September

After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City.

But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.

Black Mirror – 21 October
Black Mirror is an anthology series that taps into our collective unease with the modern world, with each stand-alone episode a sharp, suspenseful tale exploring themes of contemporary techno-paranoia.
Without questioning it, technology has transformed all aspects of our lives; in every home; on every desk; in every palm – a plasma screen; a monitor; a Smartphone – a Black Mirror reflecting our 21st Century existence back at us.
The series is created and written by Charlie Brooker, and executive produced by Brooker and Annabel Jones.

The Siege of Jadotville  (Autumn – Date TBC)

Guillaume Canet plays a French commander who sought to defeat Quinlan and his men.

Documentaries

The White Helmets (16 September)

A Netflix original short documentary, set in Aleppo, Syria and Turkey in early 2016. As the violence intensifies, The White Helmets follows three volunteer rescue workers as they put everything on the line to save civilians affected by the war, all the while wracked with worry about the safety of their own loved ones. Moving and inspiring,
The White Helmets (directed by Academy Award®–nominated director Orlando von Einsiedel and producer Joanna Natasegara) is both a snapshot of the harrowing realities of life for ordinary Syrians who remain in the country, and a humbling portrait of the power of the human spirit.
Amanda Knox  (30 September)
Was she a cold-blooded psychopath who brutally murdered her roommate or a naive student abroad trapped in an endless nightmare?
In the Netflix Original Documentary Amanda Knox, directors Rod Blackhurst (Tribeca Audience Award–winner Here Alone) and Brian McGinn (IDA Award–winner Chef’s Table) and producer Mette Heide (Peabody Award–winner India’s Daughter) explore the notorious case that made headlines around the world.
Into the Inferno  (28 October)
Werner Herzog and volcanologist Clive Oppenheimer embark upon a global journey exploring some of the world’s most mythical volcanoes in Indonesia, Ethiopia, Iceland and North Korea.
