"Thought you knew the whole story? Just you wait."
Netflix has unleashed the first proper trailer for Tiger King 2, the second season of its smash-hit true crime documentary series.
Detailing the life of controversial zookeeper Joe Exotic, the first season of the show dropped on the streaming service in the early months of the Covid-19 pandemic and became a global phenomenon, attracting viewers from 64 million households in just the first four weeks after its premiere.
As such, it's no surprise that the colourful saga of America’s most notorious big cat owners is continuing.
According to the streamer, sudden fame and unwanted attention from the authorities turns up the heat and unearths some stunning revelations in Tiger King 2.
The plot synopsis for the new season reads:
"With Joe Exotic behind bars and Carole Baskin closing in on ownership of his disreputable zoo, the Emmy-nominated saga continues its twisted course with Tiger King 2 as newfound revelations emerge on the motivations, backstories, and secrets of America’s most notorious big cat owners.
"Old enemies and frenemies, including Jeff Lowe, Tim Stark, Allen Glover, and James Garretson return for another season of murder, mayhem, and madness.
"Thought you knew the whole story? Just you wait."
The good news for fans of the series is that you don't have to wait too long to see season two, with the next batch of episodes premiering on Wednesday, 17 November.
