This doesn’t seem HUGELY kid-friendly, to be honest…
Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we’re taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil.
Plot’s it all about?: Picking up a few years after the events of the first movie (which made over $750 million at the box office, by the way) we see that Maleficent’s sorta-adoptive daughter is about to marry into a new family, which is headed by matriarch Michelle Pfeiffer, who appears to be far better at hiding her obvious evil nature than Maleficent ever was.
That triggers a series of events that pits Maleficent and her fellow mythical creatures against the humans, who have put together an army “in case of defence”, but clearly an all-out attack was on their minds all along.
We also see that Jolie isn’t the only winged creature, as we get a glimpse that she is just one of many, with Oscar-winner Chiwetel Ejifor joining the stacked cast as another member of her species who thinks she has spent too much time fighting for her sorta-adoptive daughter, and not enough time fighting for her own kind.
Yeah, there are LEVELS going on here, plus it looks pretty damned dark.
