Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we’re taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for The Journey.
Plot it’s all about: The Journey starring Timothy Spall and Colm Meaney tells the story of the two men who helped to bring peace to the conflict in Northern Ireland.
Spall plays the DUP’s Ian Paisley while Meaney plays the late Sinn Fein’s Martin McGuinness as the movie follows a fictional meeting between the pair, although the overall film is based on true events.
The film was scripted by Ulster author Colin Bateman, and Meaney has been nominated in the best actor category for this month’s Irish Film and Television Awards for his role in the movie.
The Journey will have its official Irish premiere in association with the Belfast Film Festival on June 16.
Starring: Timothy Spall, Colm Meaney, Toby Stephens, Freddie Highmore, John Hurt.
