Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we're taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle.Plot's it all about?
It has been 22 years since Robin Williams and co. got lost in the board-game that was equal parts amazing to giving kids of a certain age nightmares about being hunted by an old English man. Since then we got the kinda-sorta-not-really sequel Zathura (which was actually really good if you haven't seen it already), but now we're getting a kinda-sorta-not-really reboot/sequel with an all-star cast.
The board-game was been updated to a video-game, which sucks in four high-schoolers, puts them in the bodies of their avatars - which is where The Rock and co. come in - and must survive the jungle, and probably learn about not judging people on their appearances along the way.
It is clear that there has been a MASSIVE budget put behind this, as is evident from the helicopter chases and rhino stampedes and attacking hippos, and released less than two weeks after Star Wars: Episode VII - The Last Jedi, they've got the chance to be the last big blockbuster of 2017 before Oscar season kicks off properly.
Starring: Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan, Bobby Cannavale, Nick Jonas.
Directed by: Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher, Sex Tape, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story)
Irish release date: 26 December
