Travis Kelce has spoken publicly for the first time about his wedding to Taylor Swift, describing the couple's Madison Square Garden ceremony as the “best night of my life”.
The singer and the NFL star, both 36, married in New York on 3 July in front of more than 1,000 guests.
Speaking to reporters after a Kansas City Chiefs practice session, Kelce said: “It was a fun off-season, man. Wedding was the best night of my life, and I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us.” He described it as a “crazy night” that was “full of a lot of celebration”.
The Kansas City Chiefs man said it had been his “childhood dream” to visit the venue he calls “the mecca of all sports venues”, as RTÉ reports.
"I always told myself I'd go for a play-off game when the [New York] Knicks were rocking. My wife went when I was stuck in training camp... So, it's kind of cool to be able to live out my childhood dream of being in that venue."
He also thanked the arena's owners for accommodating a private event, joking: “The AC was cooking... that was the best part.”
Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, and the guest list included a familiar face for Irish viewers in Graham Norton, alongside Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper and Hugh Grant.
Nearly six weeks on, the newlyweds have yet to release any official photos from the day, though plenty of guests have shared their own snaps.
For more celebrity news, Irish fans have been talking about Caitríona Balfe and the live-action Tangled remake.
