“Who calls to someone’s house when The Late Late Show is on?”

Bridget and Eamon, Ireland’s favourite dysfunctional couple from times gone by, were so popular on Republic of Telly that they were given an RTE spin-off of their own and there was much anticipation ahead of their debut this evening. There’s always a danger that something that worked in a shorter format won’t prove as popular when it has to command the attention of the audience for the best part of half an hour. Judging by the reaction of viewers on Twitter this evening, however, it’s very much a hit. https://twitter.com/JackODonovanG/status/694283832070160385 https://twitter.com/LeanneLynch26/status/694285029166415872 https://twitter.com/GalwayPlayer/status/694284992378175488 https://twitter.com/kerrykilkenny/status/694285055036887041 https://twitter.com/keavaminor/status/694284844180860932 https://twitter.com/michaelc2fm/status/694284738891227137 https://twitter.com/jnvetnurse/status/694284555348475905 https://twitter.com/SuBuckley/status/694284074781929473 https://twitter.com/SeandeBurca_/status/694283636108103681 https://twitter.com/damiangunning1/status/694283120724594689 https://twitter.com/graodriscoll/status/694282882764898304 https://twitter.com/RorysStories/status/694287045536145409 Good work Bernard and Jennifer, more of where that came from please.
