It looks like a fan-favourite character has let slip they’ll be back for Avengers: Endgame

They were sorely missed from the action in Infinity War.

There are a few folk that missed the first part of the superhero smack-down last summer that we already know are coming back for Avengers: Endgame.

Both Hawkeye and Ant-Man have popped up in the first trailer, while the IMDb tells us that they will be apparently be joined by The Wasp, Doctor Strange’s teacher The Ancient One, and Captain America’s previous adversary Crossbones.

One of the big fan-favourite characters absent from the Endgame cast-list is Valkyrie, played to perfection by Tessa Thompson in Thor: Ragnarok, who may have been either one of the lucky few to escape the ship at the start of Infinity War, or one of the many killed during that opening killing spree.

There had been no indication as to whether or not Valkryie would be back for the sequel, but over the weekend, Thompson was tweeting about committing to the challenge of changing the amount of women and people of colour while on the publicity tours for her upcoming movies:

“One in April and in June”.

Looking at Thompson’s IMDb page, the June release would be Men In Black International, but there are no other upcoming projects set for this year on the actress’ page.

But do you know what movie is out this April? Yep.

Now, obviously that isn’t confirmation, and there could be some small release that will emerge between now and then, and the IMDb page simply hasn’t been updated to mirror those projects.

But we doubt it, because we all know how much Marvel love to keep their secrets.

We’ll know for sure when Avengers: Endgame is released in Irish cinemas on Friday 26 April. Until then, let us check out the trailer one more time, and secretly hope that if they’re bringing Valkyrie back, then it must mean they’re bringing Korg back, too…
