Video: A brilliant ‘behind the bricks’ insight into the upcoming Lego movie

We've said it before and we'll say it again, this flick looks like the dog's blocks.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, this flick looks like the dog’s blocks.

Due for release next month, The Lego Movie is already one of the most anticipated releases of 2014 and one of the movies JOE is looking forward to over the next 12 months or so, not just because of the brilliant voiceover cast – Will Ferrell, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Jonah Hill, Elizabeth Banks amongst others – but because we’ve seen the trailers and they look absolutely fantastic.

If you didn’t already know the plot, it revolves around an ordinary guy called Emmet, who is mistaken as the Master Builder, the one who can save the Lego universe, and with the assistance of a collection of superheroes, including a very moody Batman, he sets out to stop the evil Lord Business (Will Ferrell) from destroying the Lego universe by gluing it together.

As an extra bonus preview ahead of the movie’s release, the makers have put out a special ‘behind the bricks’ feature, which includes interviews with a number of the cast about what it was like to make the movie and what they got up to when the cameras were switched off.

As was the case in the trailer, the ultra-sarcastic Batman (voiced by Will Arnett) plays a starring role here but all of the contributions are very amusing and have only increased our excitement ahead of the movie’s release on Valentine’s Day.

We can’t wait.
