What a glorious piece of television this is.

At The Races presenter Matt Chapman's face at the end of this interview makes for one of our favourite sporting clips of this, or any other, year. Josephine Gordon's interview with Derek Thompson took a turn for the very, very strange on Thursday after he asked her if her mam would be watching from Devon. "She'd be in bed," replied Josephine. All quite innocent, until Derek came out with, "If I know your mum, she certainly won't." What followed, from Chapman, was exceptional.
