It’s a long way from Intermission.

Since it’s opening Brooklyn has been garnering impressive write-ups and picking up acting awards for its stars. And that’s all before it opens nationwide in Irish cinemas this Friday, November 6.

The movie is directed by Cork native John Crowley, best known to Irish audience for directing Intermission and a couple of episodes in the most recent series of True Detective (Colin Farrell the main connector there).

JOE caught up with him to talk about Brooklyn, Intermission and why directing True Detective is a ‘palette cleanser’.
