Cillian Murphy, Roy Keane, Ronan O’Gara – what is about Cork men never losing their accents?

Ahead of the Irish cinema release of the awesome In The Heart Of The Sea on 26 December, JOE sat down with two of the movie’s stars – Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders, Inception) and Tom Holland (the new Spider-Man) to talk sailors’ knots, late-night almonds and how Cillian holds onto his Cork accent.

Directed by Oscar-winner Ron Howard, the movie tells the true story of the New England whaling ship Essex which was attacked by a monstrously large and very cranky albino whale.

Turns out whales suffer more from hanger than humans. Figures.

In The Heart Of The Sea opens in Irish cinemas on St. Stephen’s Day.

Stay tuned to JOE for interviews with more of the movie’s cast members – Benjamin Walker and its director, Ron Howard.
