VIDEO: We quiz Andrew Stanton & Lindsey Collins, director & producer of Finding Dory, on their knowledge of Pixar films

Eoghan Doherty

Meet Andrew Stanton and Lindsey Collins…

You may not know it, but these lovely human beings are two of the most wonderfully creative and imaginative people behind some of your all-time favourite films.

No, not Howard The Duck, you eejit… we’re talking about the Pixar films.

pixar films

From Toy Story, way back in 1995, all the way up to Inside Out in 2015, Andrew Stanton and Lindsey Collins have been involved in some of the most special and influential animated films ever made.

And now they’re back with another, Finding Dory.

Finding Dory 2

Finding Dory, the sequel to 2003’s universally-loved Finding Nemo, is directed by Stanton, produced by Collins and tells the phenomenally fishy tail tale of Dory, memorably voiced by Ellen deGeneres.

Perfectly described as ‘an unforgettable journey she probably won’t remember,’ this sea-quel follows Dory as she goes on an adventure to find her long-lost parents, with beloved characters like Marlin (Albert Brooks) and Nemo (Hayden Rolence) returning, as well the introduction of some super new ones including Hank (Ed O’Neill), Destiny (Kaitlin Olson) and, one of our personal favourites for a long, long time, the Clam.*

The clam. That’s all we’re saying. The. Clam.

Finding Dory

We got on swimmingly with the pair when we met in Dublin, discussing all things Nemo and Dory-related, wondering how they manage to find the perfect voice for animated films, and we also quizzed them on their knowledge of their very own babies…

Well, not their actual babies. Just their film babies. We mean we quizzed them on their films. We did a Pixar quiz with them.

Enjoy…

And here’s the blue tang-filled trailer to get you in the mood…
