Video: Russell Brand and the Rubberbandits team up for superb Parklife parody

Fair play to the comedian for running with the joke...

Fair play to the comedian for running with the joke…

Russell Brand seems to be the very definition of a marmite comedian; we’re fairly certain that he doesn’t transform into a brown food paste with a strong salty flavour though, but he’s sure to win the respect of some doubters with his latest video.

Rusty has recently taken a further step into the world of political satire with his new book Revolution but, as JOE pointed out, it seems that clever internet users have found a genius link between Brand’s long, eloquent and grammatically grandiose political rants and Blur’s Brit-pop classic Parklife.

Just like the best advice that anyone being slightly teased in school can get, Brand has joined in on the internet’s most recent and widespread joke and he’s even managed to rope in the excellent Rubberbandits for extra effect.

We absolutely love the fact that the Rubberbandits’ classic Limerick accents come across even stronger than normal when they’re singing.

Kudos.
