There's no Michael Caine, but sure he doesn't know his way around Clones anyway

The Clones Canal Festival is coming up in June of this year, so with that in mind (and a particular focus on the Soapbox Race), the lads in charge decided to make their very own version of The Italian Job, except set in Clones. It doesn't quite have that same continental feel that the original had, but who needs that when you've got the beautiful scenery of Clones to fill in? The grand prize for the Soapbox Race is a swanky €1000, and the video is a great little explanation of how they got their hands on that sort of scratch. If you fancy entering the Sopabox Race you can head to the website and check out all the details or give them an aul like on the Facebook.
