Video: The final trailer for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies looks suitably epic

So what happens when elves, men, dwarves and dragons have a massive fight?

So what happens when elves, men, dwarves and dragons have a massive fight?

JOE shed a single tear after watching the latest trailer for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies because it will probably be Peter Jackson’s last film set in Middle Earth.

Much like Frodo when he left The Shire but which much hairier feet, we were wide eyed film fans who entered the cinema in 2001 completely unaware that our cinematic lives were about to be changed.

Wizards, epic battles, sword fights, talking trees and terrifying spiders were all in store for us and we were totally blown away by the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

The Hobbit films have improved after a sluggish first instalment and from the look of this latest trailer, Peter Jackson will definitely be leaving Middle Earth with a bang.

Having reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug, Bilbo and co have just unleashed the deadly dragon into the world which isn’t the best news for the thousands of defenceless men, women and children of the nearby Lake-town. D’oh!

If that wasn’t enough to contend with then the evil Sauron has also sent forth legions of Orcs in a stealthy attack upon the Lonely Mountain.

In a word, epic.
