Will you be tuning in to the hilarious couple’s new series?
One of the consistently best and most popular sketches on Republic of Telly are the Eamon and Bridget clips and now the dysfunctional married couple in the midlands are getting their very own show.
Bridget and Eamon starts on Monday, February 1 on RTÉ 2 and stars Bernard O’Shea and Jennier Maguire Zamparelli, who also write the series.
Speaking ahead of the six-parter premier, Zamparelli says:
‘We’re really proud of this series. So many people have told us how much they love the characters and how much Bridget reminds them of their mammy or their mad neighbour.
I hope people enjoy watching this as much as we enjoyed making it.’

Eamon himself even had his own words of encouragement: ‘Anybody who played tennis with a shovel in their back garden should watch this.’
