Batkid Begins takes a look at the story of Miles Scott, better known as Batkid, who was diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukaemia at just 18-months old…

The Make A Wish Foundation asked 5-year-old cancer survivor Miles Scott what he wanted more than anything in the world, and his response was: “Batkid”.

Miles’ dream came true on November 15, 2013 when San Francisco was transformed into Gotham City for a day and Batkid Begins takes a look at Miles’ battle with cancer along with how the big event was planned and executed without a hitch.

Directed by the Emmy Award-winning director Dana Nachman, the documentary is currently halfway to its crowd-funding goal of $100,000. You can find out more about the IndieGoGo campaign over here.

It really is an amazing story and it’s great to see just how many people got behind the Batkid idea in order to give one 5-year-old kid a day he’d never forget.
