Veteran actor Scott Wilson
has died at the age of 76.
Wilson was best known for playing grizzled farmer Hershel Greene on The Walking Dead.
He first appeared in the show in the season 2 episode ‘Bloodletting’, and was last seen in season 4.

Before his death was announced, it was revealed that it was intended for Hershel to return to the show. Wilson also voiced the character in a Robot Chicken spoof of The Walking Dead.
Wilson made his screen debut in the Sidney Poitier classic In The Heat Of The Night, all the way back in 1967. He appeared in over 80s movies and TV shows, including Pearl Harbor, CSI and The Last Samurai.
