Can’t they just be let do their jobs?
There’s something inexplicable about the sight of a TV camera that makes some people act in a way that they never normally would under any other circumstance, a fact of life that was illustrated once again on RTÉ News on Tuesday evening.
Just three days after RTÉ's Religious and Social Affairs Correspondent Joe Little showed the perfect way to deal with an interruption to his broadcast in Malahide, a gang of messers subjected David Murphy to something similar.
Unlike Little, Murphy had to put up with the antics of more than one person and to be fair to him, there was not a whole lot he could do about it…

Sharon Ní Bheoláin offered a brief apology to viewers but Bryan Dobson’s reaction probably said a lot more about what most of us were thinking.
