WATCH: This fan-made prequel movie to Harry Potter looks all kinds of wand-erful

There are very few franchise fans as invested as the Harry Potter fans.

Actually, come to think of it, is there a short-hand for Harry Potter fans? Pot-heads, maybe? Anyways…

Even though the first entry into the Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them was quite the success – $815 million at the box office is not to sniffed at – some fans of the movies felt that the prequel was a little too far removed from the Hogwarts universe they’d grown up with and loved over the years.

With that in mind, a group of fans are currently filming Voldemort: Origins Of The Heir, which focuses on the young Tom Riddle as he is chased by Grisha Mac Laggen, who suspects him of murdering Hepizbah Smith, a descendant of the Hufflepuff family.

The film initially kicked off around 2016 with a massive Kickstarter project put behind it, but Warner Brothers put in place a takedown notice.

However the arrival of the teaser seems to indicate that the fans and Warners have reached some kind of understanding, taking to the movie’s Facebook page to inform fans that “The film will be available for free on our YouTube channel by the end of 2017. And for what concerns the copyright, we have an agreement with Warner Bros, so no worries.”

We expect-o good things from this!
