Kin will follow the lives of a fictional Dublin family embroiled in a gangland war.
RTÉ has released the first look at its brand new crime drama starring Game of Thrones star Aidan Gillen, Kin.
Kin follows the activities of a family of Dublin gang members at war with a rival gang, with Gillen taking on the role of the head of one of the families.
The series will air on RTÉ One, however, an official release date has yet to be set with the first block of four episodes having already been shot by Red Rock director Diarmuid Goggins.
The official synopsis for the show says: “Kin underlines the unbreakable bonds of blood and family as it charts the lives of a fictional Dublin family embroiled in a gangland war and the consequences of their choices.”
The show which was written and co-created by Peter McKenna also features many more massive names in Irish television including Clare Dunne, Charlie Cox of Daredevil fame, Ciarán Hinds of Game of Thrones, Emmett Scanlan of Peaky Blinders, Outlander actress, Maria Doyle Kennedy Outlander and Sam Keele, to name just a few.
