The budget is reported to be around the $200 million mark.
Netflix is officially heading into the blockbuster market.
Sure, they've had some huge hits - Bird Box, Murder Mystery, Extraction - but none of them have necessarily been films that demanded to be seen on an IMAX screen.
The closest is arguably 6 Underground, which - let us all admit it - was not a good movie.
However, with Red Notice, they're about to release a movie that needs to be seen on the biggest TV screen with the best sound system you can get your hands, eyes and ears on.
The budget is reported to be around $200 million, making it the biggest movie ever produced by Netflix. Writer and director Rawson Marshall Thurber (Skyscraper, Central Intelligence) has amassed a killer trio at the centre of his new film, with Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot caught up in the global tale of high-stakes cops and robbers.
The official plot synopsis is as follows:
"An Interpol-issued Red Notice is a global alert to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted. But when a daring heist brings together the FBI’s top profiler (Johnson) and two rival criminals (Gadot, Reynolds), there’s no telling what will happen."
The trailer seems to be a mix of James Bond, Fast & Furious and The Thomas Crown Affair, and we're 100% here for that mash-up.
Red Notice will arrive on Netflix on Friday, 12 November.
