Not too long since she was nominated for an Oscar, and our very own Ruth Negga is returning for one of the most original shows on TV right now.
Whereas the first season gave us the background details on the supernaturally endowed West Texas preacher Jesse Custer (Dominic West), his problematic but supremely kick-ass ex girlfriend Tulip (Negga) and the Irish vampire Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), the second season will pick up right where Garth Ennis' graphic novels kick off.
Namely, they've left the small town they all met in, and are now on a cross-country trip in search of God himself. And not in a holier-than-thou, religious search. No, they've got something else in mind for God.
If that all sounds a bit heavy, then just keep in mind that the show has been brought to the small screen with the help of Seth Rogen, and there's a character in here called Arseface, and he's called that because... well...
The first episode will air in the States on 19 June (it should be aired over here pretty soon afterwards), and will be directed by Rogen and his This Is The End/Sausage Party co-directed Evan Goldberg, with the script being provided by one of the leading writers for Breaking Bad.
