There will be a Game of Thrones reunion with every major character, alive and dead

Game of Thrones reunion

The North remembers.

If you’ve never seen Game of Thrones then consider this to be our pitch. It’s a romantic comedy that revolves around two families, the Starks and the Lannisters, that live close to each other. After getting into hijinks, jousts and scrapes, the families always get together and settle things with a nice singalong and a pint of ale.

Nothing bad happens to anyone in the show and in the final episode, they all live happily ever after and crap gold.

Nah, we all know that winter is here and the Night King is coming to kill every single man, woman, and child in the Seven Kingdoms. Prepare to embrace the eternal darkness of The Long Night.

Cheery.

Death, destruction and dragons are on the agenda as Season 8 of the world’s most beloved show finished its post-production schedule but in a show that has garnered a well-earned reputation for killing off characters, we’re happy to say that there’s some joy at the end of the tunnel.

During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Sean Bean said that a Game of Thrones special is coming.

Yep, we’re finally going to see the Stark family reunited – well, off-screen – because Conan O’Brien did a live event with the major players in Westeros to mark the finale of the fantasy epic.

When asked if he’s still in contact with his pals from Game of Thrones, Bean said: “I’ve only seen them on a couple of occasions. Last time, was about four weeks ago in Belfast. Conan O’Brien did this thing. It was the last episode, so we all got together. It was good! It’s funny with work, you don’t really keep in touch. You do so many types of jobs in that part of the world. It’s just like whenever I see old friends or even old drama school friends, it’s just the same, we pick up where we left off last time.”

He adds: “Yes, it was for season eight, the last one. So they decided to get all the characters together for a bit for this big show in Belfast and he kind of hosted the evening.”

Ned Stark reuniting with Arya could be enough to melt the heart of a White Walker.

Actually, it’s not.

The Night King is going to kill them all. We can’t wait.
