A memorable night for La La Land, Atlanta and Casey Affleck.

The cast and crew of La La Land are probably still singing and dancing into the night because Damien Chazelle's superb musical has set a new record at the Golden Globes by winning all seven of its nominations, including Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical. Both of its stars, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, also took home the best acting nods in their respective categories. Director Damien Chazelle won both Best Director and Screenplay while Justin Hurtwitz won Best Original Score. In the category of Best Motion Picture, Drama, Moonlight took the gong. It wasn't to be for the Irish nominees with Ruth Negga (Loving), Colin Farrell (The Lobster), Catriona Balfe (Outlander) and Sing Street (Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical) all missing out in their respective categories. Elsewhere, Casey Affleck's towering performance in Manchester in the Sea saw him win the Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama while Isabelle Huppert won in the female category for Elle. Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nocturnal Animals) and Viola Davis (Fences) also won the awards for Best Performance by a Supporting Actor/Actress. On the TV front, Donald Glover’s superb comedy Atlanta won Best Comedy Series while The Crown, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story and The Night Manager also picked up accolades Here are the winners in full:
