We’re finally getting some information about Season 2 of You

Rudi Kinsella

You Season 2

The first season was one of the most disturbing things we’ve watched in a while.

Last December, Netflix gave us all an excellent Christmas present in the form of a horrifying series titled You.

It was tough to watch and extremely creepy, but that didn’t stop many people from binge watching it all in a matter of days.

What was particularly creepy about the main character (Joe) was how normal he appeared in plain sight. He was the “nice guy”, who was the complete opposite behind closed doors.

And by the sounds of it, it’s not going to get much more pleasant in the second season.

Actor Charlie Barnett (who you may recognise from another Netflix hit, Russian Doll) has joined the cast and he has offered some information about the upcoming season.

“It’s so funny because online people are like, ‘Oh, you’re going to die. You’re going to die. You’re friends with the girl? You’re definitely going to die'”, he told TV Guide.

He also said that if you’re hoping that it follows the plot of the book that it’s based on, there may have a surprise or two in store.

“It’s gonna be a really exciting season,” he teased.

“Victoria (Pedretti – confirmed for Season 2) is an unbelievable actress. Penn (Badgely) is an unbelievable actor. And I think the writers and just that production team and crew picked it all up 100%.

“Also while they’re following close to the book, there are some extreme turns that are so beautifully laid in. As an audience member, I’m really excited to see those episodes play out.”

He continued: “It does have more of a True Detective quality. You see a little more of the crime and punishment end of it just from our character outlets, from the people who are being added to the story.”

Season 2 of You is expected to drop on Netflix on 3o December, 2019.
