Coachella promoters have announced a new festival much closer to home

The early line-up is nothing short of incredible.

Electric Picnic 2019

We are totally on board for this.

Coachella is one of those must-visit festivals for music lovers, the kind of gargantuan, once-in-a-lifetime events that puts most other music festivals in the shade.

For example, Electric Picnic holds around 55,000 people, whereas Coachella houses over 130,000.

It is probably for that very reason that they decided to have the festival in the middle of a desert, in Colorado’s Inland Empire Valley.

Consider that is a little over 7,000 kms away, it isn’t exactly a hop, skip and a jump for fans on this side of the Atlantic.

Which is why the news that the Coachella promoters are setting up a new festival in Europe is very, very exciting.

The All Points East festival will take place in London’s Victoria Park, and will take place from Friday 25 June to Sunday 27 June.

Already some of the headliners have been announced, including The XX, Lorde, Bjork, LCD Soundsystem, Beck, Sampha, Lykke Li and more yet to be announced.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 3 November, and more info on the festival can be found here.
