Sounds like they put on one hell of a show.
They might be
one of the most divisive acts in the music business over the last 20 years or so, but you wouldn’t have found too many Coldplay bashers amongst the tens of thousands of people that packed into see them in Croke Park on Saturday night.
Easily one of the most anticipated gigs of the summer, the show put on by Chris Martin and company didn’t disappoint judging by the awestruck reaction on social media afterwards.
The band played
a 23-song setlist full of some old favourites and more recent material and Martin even gave
a shout out to our new Taoiseach Leo Varadkar during the performance on a night when even the weather seemed to play ball and didn't try and spoil it for everyone.
Below is just a selection of the reaction to the gig from fans who might take a while to get their feet back on the ground after the experience.
