DJ Robert Miles has died at the age of 47

Miles, real name Robert Concina, is best known for his iconic track ‘Children’ in the 1990s.

DJ Robert Miles, real name Robert Concina, has died at the age of just 47.

The Italian’s track ‘Children’ reached No.1 in 12 countries after its release in November 1995 and is one of the most iconic dance tracks of all time.

After stepping away from the music industry, Miles set up Open Lab, a Balearic radio station that leaned towards a more experimental sound than he had created during the height of his fame.

The cause of Miles’ death is unknown.

“The tragic news of the death of a very talented artist of our time, makes me incredulous and upset,” said his friend, Joe T Vannelli.

“I will miss the fights, brawls, criticism, judgements but especially your talent in finding sounds and melodies unparalleled.”
