The additional dates include another Croke Park gig.

Ed Sheeran has added four extra dates to his upcoming Irish shows due to demand.

The 30-year-old had already been scheduled to perform in 2022 at Dublin’s Croke Park on 23 April, Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork on 28 April, Thomond Park Stadium in Limerick on 5 May and Boucher Road Playing Fields in Belfast on 12 May.

The new dates will see the singer-songwriter perform one more concert at each of the venues.

They are as follows:

  • Dublin, Croke Park – 24 April 2022
  • Cork, Páirc Uí Chaoimh – 29 April 2022
  • Limerick, Thomond Park – 6 May 2022
  • Belfast, Boucher Road Playing Fields – 13 May 2022

The Mathematics Tour will see Sheeran promoting his new album = , which arrives on 29 October.

As part of the tour, Sheeran and his team have taken a “strict stance” against anyone using unofficial secondary ticketing sites in order to try and stop fans being exploited when trying to buy tickets for his shows.

“The shows on this tour will use specially developed mobile digital ticketing technology which have safeguards in place to ensure genuine fans are buying genuine tickets, and to stop unofficial secondary ticketing sites, and unofficial ticket sellers, from being able to resell tickets at inflated prices and rip off fans,” a statement read.

“In order to make buying legitimate tickets easier on the day, fans are encouraged to sign up for an account with an official ticket vendor in advance of the on sale. Fans who become unable to go to the shows will be able to sell their tickets to other fans at the price they paid, plus a booking fee through the official fan-to-fan face value resale platform at the place they purchased the tickets.”

As per previous Sheeran tours, the promoters will be monitoring the sales transactions in conjunction with the National Trading Standards Cyber Crime team.

This is to identify purchases that are in contravention of the terms and conditions for the sale of the Sheeran tickets.

All ticket purchases that contravene these terms and conditions will be subject to possible cancellation.

The promoters urge all customers to only use the official ticket sites listed at Edsheeran.com.

Tickets for the shows are available now and can be purchased at the singer-songwriter’s website and Ticketmaster.
