Here’s how quickly Guns N’ Roses sold out Slane Castle

Carl Kinsella

The Irish, European and Canadian dates of the upcoming Guns N’ Roses tour have sold a staggering one million tickets over just 24 hours, MCD has revealed.

It took less than one day for Axl, Slash and co. to sell out the 80,000 capacity Slane Castle. The band is making a return to the iconic Irish venue after a quarter-century away and it’s safe to say that the population of Ireland is ready to welcome the lads with open arms.

Tickets for the Not in This Lifetime Tour went on sale on Friday December 9 and disappeared quicker than Freddos stocked at an appropriate price.

In total, the reunion tour for the notoriously turbulent band has sold 3 million tickets in 2016, making it the best-selling rock tour for the entirety of the year.
