JOE’s Song Of The Day #610: One Horse Pony – ‘Muddy Waters’

Eric Lalor

One Horse Pony are no one-trick pony.

One Horse Pony are a band from Cork. They are an alt-roots outfit whose DNA can be traced to the swamplands of Louisiana, smouldering with earthy Cajun tones and raucous intent.

One Horse Pony

A seriously talented bunch of individuals who have earned plaudits from esteemed acts such as The Blind Boys Of Alabama, they’ve also made quite a stir on the live scene. They’ve already appeared at Electric Picnic, Guinness Cork Jazz Festival, Indiependence, Kilkenny Roots Festival and more.

This is their debut single and it’s a hugely impressive piece of work. ‘Muddy Waters’ is taken from an EP, Hot One (produced by Gavin Glass) due out later this year.

The lads are obviously very talented and certainly a band to keep an eye on for the future. You can keep up to date on their movements via their Facebook page right here.
