JOE’s Song Of The Day #759 – Paddy Mahon ‘Crossroads’

Eric Lalor

Paddy Mahon

Paddy Mahon with a promising debut.

Paddy Mahon hails from Offaly and this is his debut single. He’s an aspiring singer songwriter and to realise his dream of recording and releasing a single,  he sold his cattle to finance the entire project.

You don’t hear of much cattle trade in the music business, but it’s a sign of the young man’s determination and drive to succeed. He’s a final year business student in Dublin and it a late comer to the music industry – he taught himself guitar having only started playing the guitar four years ago.

Recorded at Darklands Audio studio in Dublin, ‘Crossroads’ is produced by Daniel Doherty who also worked with the Fontaines and Somebodys Child.

“It has been an incredible journey for me and bringing out my own song is a dream come true and while I had to sell some of my own cattle to pay for studio hire, session musicians, engineering and  production it has been all worthwhile,” said Paddy.
