JOE’s Song Of The Day #465: Frankenstein Bolts – ‘Anatomic Major’

This is a proper toe-tapper.

JOE

Frankenstein Bolts

What an irresistible little ditty.

Wexford duo, Frankenstein Bolts release their second album, Aglow and Spark, next month and this is the debut single from that collection.

The album came to fruition after a crowd-funding campaign and aren’t we lucky that people dug deep for Justin Cullen and Dan Comerford, or else we wouldn’t be tapping our toe to this bite-sized piece of musical loveliness.

Clocking in at 2 minutes and 27 seconds, Anatomic Major is a charming pop song – melodic and dreamy, it builds steadily to a crescendo that brings to mind Beachhouse or Sufjan Stevens.

Have a listen, tap your feet and, if you like what you hear, you’ll be glad to know the lads are touring to promote Aglow and Spark.

You can catch them at Castlepalooza and Electric Picnic in the coming weeks, while they are also playing gigs in Kilkenny, Limerick and Dublin, among other places.

You can find out more details on their Facebook page, Twitter or Instagram.
