Kanye West and Taylor Swift are arguing over a leaked phone call and ‘character assassination’

Paul Moore

Haters gonna hate.

Kanye West and Taylor Swift are famous. Famous people like to keep their names in the headlines. T-Swift and Yeezy split opinion in a way that no other artists do. People either love them or hate them. They don’t like each other. Here’s why.

As you might remember, the two musicians didn’t exactly see eye-to-eye when Kanye interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 VMA’s. Kanye was just itching to tell the world that Beyonce’s video for Single Ladies should really have been the winner. Even Barack Obama weighed in on the issue by calling Kanye West a jackass.

After the rapper made an apology (which he later backtracked on) it seemed like relations between the two superstars was amicable, until Kanye released his latest track Famous which contained lyrics about Taylor Swift.

“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, Why? I made that bitch famous, God damn, I made that bitch famous”, are just a few choice words from the track.

West said that he ran the lyrics by Swift before releasing the track while accusing her of feigning outrage over them. The Shake It off singer then denied this via her rep, who stated that, “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message.”

Kim Kardashian (she had to weigh in) later posted this series of private conversations that her husband had with the Grammy Award winning artist about the song.

Here’s Taylor Swift’s swift reply. Haters gonna hate, eh? Jesus, we’re heading for a #TeamTaylor v #TeamKanye ‘rivalry’ aren’t we? Between this and her recent breakup with Calvin Harris, it’s fair to say that Taylor Swift won’t be short of some material for her new album.
