Leftfield announce first headline Irish show in years

Eric Lalor

Leftfield have announced a gig in Dublin this May.

Leftfield, one of electronic music’s all-time greatest acts, return to Ireland for their first headline club show in eight years.

They will perform at Dublin’s Vicar Street on Friday 25 May 2018 for one night only. Tickets go on sale this Friday morning at 9am.

Leftism‘  their iconic debut album, was released in 1995 and remains one of the defining statements of dance music.

Widely regarded as one of electronic music’s defining live acts, the now-infamous Liveism tour that followed Leftism’s release set a new precedent in sonic presentation.

The monster sound system, which aimed to replicate the cataclysmic bass effect of reggae sound systems, invited more complaints than the notoriously boisterous Motörhead.

Brixton Academy even banned the tour when plaster started flaking from the ceiling, which bodes well for Vicar Street.
