‘I’ve not been very well.’

Lewis Capaldi is battling Vertigo with the performer revealing he hasn’t been “very well”.

The 26-year-old said he thought he was dying for a “couple of days” while suffering from the symptoms of the condition, which make people feel like everything around them is spinning.

According to a report by MailOnline, Lewis told fans about his new health concern while at Glasgow’s Everyman Cinema on Thursday. He was performing as part of a special screening for his upcoming Netflix documentary.

“I’m alive and living,” he told fans, according to the publisher.

“I’ve not been very well. I’ve got vertigo. So I’m spinning but I’m smiling. I’m not dying so it’s good. I did think I was for a couple of days but luckily I’m here.”

According to the NHS: “Vertigo feels like you or everything around you is spinning – enough to affect your balance. It’s more than just feeling dizzy. A vertigo attack can last from a few seconds to hours. If you have severe vertigo, it can last for many days or months.”

The health service says the condition “often gets better without treatment”, but advisors anyone who keeps getting it, or if it is “affecting your daily life”, to see a GP.

In September, Capaldi announced that he has Tourette’s syndrome, and said he made it public because he didn’t want the public thinking he was “taking cocaine”.

The singer said that he is now learning to live with the twitches and was relieved to discover he had the condition as he feared he might be suffering a degenerative disease.
