LISTEN: Frank Ocean has just dropped his out-of-nowhere new song ‘Chanel’

Rory Cashin

Frank Ocean’s music has a lot in common with busses, apparently.

You wait for one to arrive, and now they’re all seemingly coming at once.

Channel Orange showed up in 2012, then we were left waiting desperately for the follow-up, before he dropped visual album Endless in August 2016, and the very next day he dropped his actual sophomore album Blond.

Then, only two weeks ago, he released ‘Slide’, his collaboration with Calvin Harris, and now this?

Ocean has his own show on Apple Radio, and while on his first week his hosted his special guest Jay-Z, this week he released a brand new track titled ‘Chanel’.

Not much is known about it – no producer has been named yet, we don’t know if it’s an unreleased cut from Blond or the first track from an upcoming project – but not long after premiering this version, Ocean went on to release the ‘chopped and screwed’ version featuring A$AP Rocky, which you can listen to right here.

Not that we’re complaining, mind you. Any Frank Ocean is good Frank Ocean in our book.
