Chance the Rapper pulls out of Longitude, Stormzy announced as replacement

There's bad news, and there's good news.

We'll start with the bad news. Longitude has confirmed that Chance the Rapper will no longer be performing at the Marlay Park festival. The statement didn't give any reason for Chance's cancellation, only that the Chicago rapper was "no longer able to perform". Now for the good news! Those behind the festival have confirmed that grime artist Stormzy will step in and headline the Saturday night of the festival. Stormzy has proven on more than one occasion that he's well able to shut down a Dublin crowd, having played an immense show here at the Olympia in 2017. He also played a raucous set at Trinity Ball in 2016. There's little doubt that he'll bring the same quality to his Longitude performance. This is the second time that Chance the Rapper has cancelled an Irish gig in as many years.
